Week 12 Predictions

hi-res-178544361-quarterback-brock-osweiler-of-the-denver-broncos-runs_crop_northAfter an abysmal week ten, this past Sunday was a decent bounce back effort as I had a five game improvement picking games straight up compared to three against the spread. And after a solid showing on Thanksgiving yesterday, it seems week 12 can be a solid week as well. This is the first time since the early parts of the season where there are no byes so from here on out each week will have a full slate of games. Despite three games already occurring, there are a good amount of remaining games with playoff implications so it should be an exciting weekend for fans everywhere.

Last week: 9-5, Season: 105-55

Last week against the spread: 7-7, Season: 85-75

Game of the weak: Ravens vs Browns: There are always one or two Monday night games which look terrible in hindsight when scheduled each year. This is clearly one of them. The Ravens figured to be contending for an AFC North title and the Browns were coming off a 7-9 season in which they showed a lot of improvement. Now, both teams are fighting for draft position as both could end up picking in the top five. On top of that due to Joe Flacco’s season ending injury and Johnny Manziel doing Johnny Manziel things, we have a quarterback matchup of Matt Schaub and Josh McCown. If you sat this one out as a viewer I couldn’t blame you. Ravens 14 Browns (-2.5) 20

Game of the week: Patriots vs Broncos: This isn’t the Tom Brady/Peyton Manning showdown we’ve become accustomed to, but there are a lot of interesting story lines in this one. Brady is going up against arguably the best defense in the entire league and one that includes two premier corners on the outside. A situation like that would be interesting regardless, but now the Patriots are extremely banged up at wide receiver. For the Broncos, Brock Osweiler performed admirably in his first career start, but it will be interesting to see how he responds when Bill Belichick throws the book at him in terms of schemes. Patriots 23 Broncos (+3.5) 17

Raiders 23 Titans (+1.5) 20

Bills 16 Chiefs (-5.5) 23

Buccaneers 23 Colts (-3.5) 21

Giants 27 Redskins (+2.5) 20

Saints 27 Texans (-2.5) 24

Vikings 20 Falcons (-1.5) 17

Rams 16 Bengals (-8.5) 26

Chargers 20 Jaguars (-3.5) 24

Dolphins 21 Jets (-3.5) 26

Cardinals 30 49ers (+10.5) 16

Steelers 26 Seahawks (-3.5) 28
