Week Three Predictions

hi-res-df1ba390395fe4c39558584fb4d5ae9e_crop_northLast week was a very tough one to predict as we are still getting a feeling of what direction teams will be heading in. As a result, there were a good amount of games I was pretty far off on. Fortunately, there is a lot of season left to get back on track. With teams trying to get out of 0-2 holes and others trying to keep the positive momentum going, week three is sure to make for an interesting slate of games.

Last week: 8-8, Season: 19-13

Last week against the spread: 7-9, Season: 16-16

Game of the weak: Buccaneers vs Texans: There are some interesting notes to watch in this one. The continued development of Jameis Winston, J.J. Watt against a shaky offensive line and Ryan Mallett trying to prove he should be the guy at quarterback for the Texans. But despite all that, both of these teams are rough around the edges so this one could be tough to watch. Buccaneers 17 Texans (-6.5) 21

Game of the week: Eagles vs Jets: With the teams heading in separate directions narrative, it seems fitting to put this matchup here. Coming into this season with ridiculous hype, the Eagles have started off 0-2 and things don’t get much easier this week. As a team that can get physical running the ball along with a strong defense, the Jets might be the last matchup the Eagles can afford right now. Regardless of the outcome, the narratives will be in full swing after this one. Eagles 20 Jets (-2.5) 24

Bengals 23 Ravens (-2.5) 17

Jaguars 17 Patriots (-14.5) 38

Steelers 26 Rams (+2.5) 21

Saints 16 Panthers (-3.5) 20

Chargers 21 Vikings (-2.5) 24

Colts 26 Titans (+2.5) 20

Raiders 17 Browns (-2.5) 20

Falcons 24 Cowboys (+2.5) 17

49ers 16 Cardinals (-6.5) 27

Bills 24 Dolphins (-2.5) 21

Bears 13 Seahawks (-14.5) 31

Broncos 27 Lions (+3.5) 23

Chiefs 20 Packers (-6.5) 28
