Week Ten Predictions

rxt1w_So_56Last week was a very good one for my predictions. I missed only two games picking straight up and am now a few games over .500 for the year against the spread. This week is an odd one as on paper, many of the games look they could be very one sided. However, that is why they play the games. All it takes is one surprising win or loss to determine the fate of teams come January.

Last week: 11-2, Season: 90-44

Last week against the spread: 8-5, Season: 68-66

Game of the weak: Falcons vs Buccaneers: It’s pretty hard to believe, but just a few months ago these teams were considered playoff contenders in the NFC. The Falcons haven’t won since the last time they played the Buccaneers and seem destined for another top pick. The Buccaneers already seem to be in rebuilding mode. However, there way of announcing that is by putting Josh McCown back in at starting quarterback. Chances are whoever the Bucs draft in 2015 will have a bigger impact on the team than McCown (if he’s even around). It just doesn’t make sense to play him when his play will impact the quarterback search leading up to the draft. Falcons 26 Buccaneers (+2.5) 20

Game of the week: Dolphins vs Lions: Don’t look now, but the Dolphins are one of the hottest teams in the entire league. Winning four of their last five, the Dolphins field an impressive defense and an offense that has improved as Ryan Tannehill matures. This week they hit the road to face a 6-2 Lions team fresh off their bye. The Lions offense should be in full force as Calvin Johnson will be healthy for the first time in weeks. With both teams strong on defense with the ability to put up points, this matchup should come down to the wire. Dolphins 24 Lions (-3.5) 20

Chiefs 17 Bills (+2.5) 21

Cowboys 26 Jaguars(+7.5) 17

49ers 23 Saints (-5.5) 30

Titans 14 Ravens (-9.5) 27

Steelers 30 Jets (+4.5) 20

Broncos 34 Raiders (+11.5) 17

Rams 16 Cardinals (-7.5) 26

Giants 14 Seahawks (-9.5) 24

Bears 24 Packers (-7.5) 33

Panthers 20 Eagles (-6.5) 28
