Week 14 Predictions

Andre JohnsonLast week was an average week for my predictions but it was yet another very exciting week of games. With 75 percent of the regular season in the books, every team enters the week with four games remaining to play and the race to the playoffs is in full swing.

Week 13 results:

Last week: 9-7, Season: 122-70

Last week against the spread: 6-10, Season: 82-110

Game of the weak: Jets vs Jaguars: The Jets passing game was simply awful last week and it too a spark from third stringer Greg McElroy to pull out a win. Naturally McElroy’s strong performance bought Mark Sanchez another week as the starter. Now they go on the road to face the Jaguars whose offense has improved in recent weeks but that progress will be impacted by numerous injuries. Jets 16 Jaguars (+2.5) 17

Game of the week: Texans vs Patriots: The Texans may be in a tie for the league’s best record but a win here will show everyone that they’re for real. It could be a rough go against a Patriots offense that is scoring at a prolific rate. The Texans defensive line has done an excellent job of getting pressure on quarterbacks but unless Jonathan Joseph the Patriots could have a very easy day throwing the ball.  Texans 23 Patriots (-3.5) 31

Rams 23 Bills (-3.5) 21

Cowboys 20 Bengals (-3.5) 24

Chiefs 17 Browns (-6.5) 24

Titans 20 Colts (-8.5) 31

Bears 23 Vikings (+3.5) 14

Chargers 17 Steelers (-7.5) 26

Eagles 17 Buccaneers (-7.5) 34

Texans 27 Titans (+6.5) 17

Ravens 23 Redskins (-2.5) 26

Falcons 26 Panthers (+3.5) 21

Dolphins 16 49ers (-10.5) 26

Saints 24 Giants (-5.5) 30

Cardinals 17 Seahawks (-10.5) 30

Lions 23 Packers (-6.5) 30
