Week 11 Predictions

Last week was a good one for my predictions as I had another very strong week against the spread. I was right on in regards to the Saints/Falcons, Steelers/Bengals and Giants/49ers games but was way off on the Lions/Bears, Titans/Panthers and Ravens/Seahawks games. This week there are four teams on bye but after that there will be a full slate of games every week. On paper none of this weekend’s matchups look exciting but it should still end up being a very interesting week of football.

Week ten results:

Straight up: Last week: 8-8, Season: 91-55

Against the spread:  10-6, Season: 81-65

Game of the weak: Jaguars vs Browns:

This game is going to be the total opposite of what fans have come to expect from NFL offenses this year. Both teams are playing very young quarterbacks who can both argue they have the worst receiving corps in the league. Look for both teams to run it early and often and for the winner of the field position battle to prevail.  Jaguars 17 Browns (+1.5) 13

Game of the week: Bengals vs Ravens:

It’s a tough week to pick a game to go here but this is a game which could shape the playoff picture in the AFC. The Bengals have played tough all year but Andy Dalton faces adversity this week with his top target A.J. Green most likely out against the strong Ravens defense. For the Ravens it is all about which Joe Flacco will show up. Last week he struggled against a Seahawks secondary which isn’t exactly all world and surprisingly threw the ball 52 times. The Ravens have to make a point to get Ray Rice more involved this game in the rest of the season. Bengals 17 Ravens (-7.5) 23

Panthers 23 Lions (-7.5) 31

Buccaneers 16 Packers (-14.5) 38

Bills 24 Dolphins (-2.5) 20

Raiders 26 Vikings (+1.5) 21

Cowboys 28 Redskins (+7.5) 17

Cardinals 17 49ers (-9.5) 27

Seahawks 20 Rams (-2.5) 17

Titans 20 Falcons (-6.5) 28

Chargers 20 Bears (-3.5) 27

Eagles 17 Giants (-4.5) 31

Chiefs 16 Patriots (-14.5) 34
