Week Ten Predictions

Last week was a solid one for predictions as I was once again above .500 against the spread. I was right on regarding the Browns/Texans, Buccaneers/Saints and Bengals/Titans games but was way off on Dolphins/Chiefs and Broncos/Raiders. With no teams on bye this week, it is a full slate of games in what should be another exciting weekend of football.

Week nine results:

Straight up: Last week: 7-7, Season: 83-47

Against the spread:  8-6, Season: 71-59

Game of the weak: Jaguars vs Colts:

Usually this is one of the league’s most underrated rivalries but with the Jaguars rebuilding and the Colts missing Peyton Manning, it will have to wait. The battle between Blaine Gabbert and Curtis Painter for best quarterback with shaggy blonde hair should be interesting at least. If you have Maurice Jones-Drew on your fantasy team, this matchup should be fun to watch as he should get the ball early and often. Jaguars 24 Colts (+3.5) 17

Game of the week: Patriots vs Jets:

This is a must win game for both teams and could end up being the deciding factor in who wins the AFC East. The Patriots come into this game having lost their last two as they have struggled putting points on the board. Chances are it won’t get much better against a Jets defense that got its swagger back in a very impressive win on the road against the Bills. Patriots 20 Jets (-3.5) 24

Saints 27 Falcons (+1.5) 24

Titans 20 Panthers (-3.5) 26

Steelers 27 Bengals (+3.5) 20

Rams 17 Browns (-3.5) 20

Bills 21 Cowboys (-5.5) 27

Broncos 17 Chiefs (-3.5) 21

Redskins 14 Dolphins (-3.5) 20

Cardinals 17 Eagles (-14.5) 31

Texans 23 Buccaneers (+3.5) 17

Ravens 26 Seahawks (+7.5) 16

Lions 26 Bears (-3.5) 21

Giants 20 49ers (-3.5) 24

Packers 34 Vikings (+13.5)21
