Week Nine Predictions

Last week was a tougher one to predict as I was solid straight up but struggled against the spread. I was right on for the Jaguars/Texans game but like most, my prediction for Saints/Rams was way off. Even with byes, this week has a great slate of games as multiple teams that have the potential to be playoff bound are squaring off.

Week eight results:

Straight up: Last week: 9-4, Season: 76-40

Against the spread:  5-8, Season: 63-53

Game of the weak: Rams vs Cardinals:

At the beginning of the year, these two teams looked like they would be the favorites in the NFC West. Now, eight weeks in are in prime position for top five picks in the draft. With the potential of a A.J. Feeley  vs John Skelton matchup looming, look for Steven Jackson and Beanie Wells to both get the ball early and often. Rams 23 Cardinals (-4.5) 17

Game of the week: Ravens vs Steelers:

After a huge win against the Patriots last week, the Steelers have the chance to avenge their week one loss to their biggest rival. As always, this game should be very physical and is one even the casual fan shouldn’t miss.  Ravens 20 Steelers (-3.5) 26

Jets 20 Bills (-1.5) 24

Seahawks 17 Cowboys (-11.5) 28

Browns 14 Texans (-11.5) 26

Falcons 31 Colts (+7.5) 20

Dolphins 17 Chiefs (-5.5) 26

Buccaneers 20 Saints (-5.5) 27

49ers 23 Redskins (+3.5) 17

Broncos 16 Raiders (-8.5) 26

Bengals 23 Titans (-3.5) 20

Giants 24 Patriots (-8.5) 31

Packers 34 Chargers (+6.5) 26

Bears 17 Eagles (-8.5)28
