Week Three Predictions

Last week was an excellent one for my predictions as I was right on regarding the Buccaneers/Vikings and Chargers/Patriots games. However, I was way off on the Ravens/Titans and Eagles/Falcons games. There are plenty of interesting matchups this week so it should be another exciting weekend of football.

Week two results:

Straight up: Last week: 14-2, Season: 23-9

Against the spread:  8-8, Season: 17-15

Season: 17-15

Game of the weak: Cardinals vs Seahawks:

Surprisingly, this is the first time a game featuring NFC West teams has been mentioned in this space. Seattle will also be able to take in the Tarvaris Jackson experience at home for the first time this week which means the Seattle papers will most likely have the words “vote of confidence” in their game summaries.  Cardinals 24 Seahawks (+3.5) 16

Game of the week: Falcons vs Buccaneers:

The Buccaneers were a trendy sleeper team this year and a win here for them would be huge. The Falcons are coming off an emotional win at home and also need this game as they would fall to 1-2 with a loss. Falcons 26 Buccaneers (-1.5) 23

Patriots 38 Bills (+8.5) 24

Jaguars 17 Panthers (-3.5) 24

49ers 16 Bengals (-1.5) 23

Dolphins 23 Browns (-3.5) 17

Lions 21 Vikings (+3.5) 24

Texans 23 Saints (-4.5) 31

Giants 20 Eagles (-7.5) 26

Broncos 20 Titans (-7.5) 27

Jets 21 Raiders (+3.5) 20

Chiefs 13 Chargers (-14.5) 34

Ravens 23 Rams (+3.5) 17

Packers 31 Bears (+3.5) 20

Steelers 31 Colts (+10.5) 16

Redskins 20 Cowboys (-6.5) 26
